Residential Life

The four RCs champion different themes: Lee Yick Hoi Lun Mosaic College for cultural diversity, S H Ho Wellness College for healthy living style, Patrick S C Poon Amity College for community engagement and service, and Fung Yiu King Evergreen College for sustainability.  

There are thematic programmes organized in each RC throughout the year. For details, please refer to our website https://rc.hsu.edu.hk/. 

All new students, including senior-year entry students are eligible to apply for the Residential Colleges (RC). Application should be made via e-Campus from 21 to 23 August 2023 (new local students) / 3 to 9 August 2023 (senior-year entry students). 

The tentative residential period for academic year 2023/24 is from 1 September 2023 to 24 May 2024, noon. Late applications will not be considered. For details, please refer to HERE.

Eligible students can apply online via Student Information System within the application period. 

All applicants are assessed via a composite point system with details as follow: 

• Home Distance from HSUHK (50 Points) 
• Outstanding performance (15 points) 

Applicants who believe they have special talents, special needs, or can make significant contribution or participation to RC community can apply for Recommendation from RC Master when they apply for RC. Applicants will be admitted directly to RC if they are recommended by RC Master. A maximum quota of 10 for each RC. 

The application result will be released on 25 August 2023 for new local students and 16 August 2023 for senior-year entry students via HSUHK email account.

For Year 1 admittees, successful applicants would be required to pay the full payment before 5:00 pm, 28 August 2023 (tentative). For senior-year admittees the deadline would be 5:00 pm, 21 August 2023. Late payment/ failure in payment submission will be handled as a withdrawal of offer.
