Checklist (Non-local Year 1 Students)

  • 1st instalment of tuition fee payment deadline: 17 July 2026 
  • After your tuition fee payment is processed and the Registry has verified your submitted documents, and once the Immigration Department issues the student visa, you will receive an email with procedures for the online NEW Student Registration (to your personal email address). 
  • Please refer to the email from the Registry (to your personal email address). 
  • For more information about important IT services offered by the Information Technology Service Centre (ITSC): Click here 
  • The Guide is packed with information on things to do after admission and background on the learning environment in HSUHK. It has also included advice on living in Hong Kong and how to enrich your campus life.
  • After completing your student registration, you will receive an email (to your HSUHK student ID mailbox) from the Student Affairs Office (SAO) outlining to-do items for new students and information about various welcoming events organised by the university.
  • Accommodation Options: Residential Colleges, Old Hall and Off-Campus (Regal Riverside Hotel)
  • Application period: 25 July – 2 August 2026
  • You will receive an email (to your HSUHK student ID mailbox) from the Residential Colleges and Accommodations Section of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) with the details.

  • New students are required to complete the online new student survey. Upon completion, a $100 printing credit will be automatically added to your student account. 
  • For details, please refer to the welcome email from the Student Affairs Office (SAO). 
  • The timetable will be pre-assigned to Year 1 students. You are not required to register modules during the module registration exercise for the first semester of study. 
  • You can check your timetable on the intranet (eCampus) on 25 August 2026. 
  • You will receive an email from the Registry regarding the collection of Student Card in late August 2026. 
  • New Student Welcome Day (for all HSUHK new students) 
    To help you familiarize yourself with the HSUHK environment and build networks with your peers, you are invited to join the New Student Welcome Day on 24 August 2026(Mon). 
  • Welcome Night for Non-local Undergraduate Students (for all non-local undergraduate new students only)
    To assist non-local students in adapting to Hong Kong culture and lifestyle, the Welcome Night for Non-local Undergraduate Students is scheduled for 4 September 2026. The event will be conducted in Mandarin. Non-local undergraduate new students will receive an invitation to this event via email.
  • To assist new students in becoming familiar with the programs and support resources for their studies, your School/Department has organised Academic Sessions for new students.
  • The Convocation for New Students is scheduled for 3 September 2026. 
  • New students will receive an invitation from the Registry in late August 2026.
