Embracing Diversity

The Student Affairs Office (SAO) actively fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion in the HSUHK community. By organising vibrant campus-wide events, such as the annual Inclusion Festival, we celebrate and promote diverse perspectives across campus. To further cultivate a supportive environment, SAO collaborates with academic and learning support units to provide comprehensive assistance to students with special needs, including tailored accommodations, access to assistive technologies, inclusive career guidance, and counselling services.

Support for Your Well-Being

HSUHK is committed to supporting students’ personal growth and well-being. The Personal Growth and Counselling Unit of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) provides professional counselling and clinical psychology services to support students facing mental health and developmental challenges. The services are available through traditional face-to-face sessions or online meetings, conducted in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English to meet individual needs.  

In addition, the Mental Wellness Enhancement Programmes, organised by the Unit, foster peer connections and promote personal wellness awareness, which are essential for thriving in university life.

Unleash Your Unique Power Through Sports

The Physical Education Section of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) strives to promote physical wellness, mental resilience and positive values among HSUHK students. Through both academic and outside the classroom learning experiences including sports activities, PE classes, credit-bearing modules and more, we facilitate students’ development of physical competence and nurture transferable skills such as teamwork, leadership and problem-solving, all of which cultivate a strong sense of belonging and contribute to a lifelong commitment to growth and learning.

An Incubator for Future Global Leaders

Honours Academy (HA) is a pioneering initiative at HSUHK designed to elevate the undergraduate experience for a select group of around 20 high-achieving, high-potential, and highly motivated students. HA offers a unique two- to three-year journey that integrates academic excellence, global vision, and civic leadership. Through enriched curricula, close mentorship, and exclusive learning opportunities, HA nurtures future global leaders equipped to make meaningful contributions to society and the world.

Awards and Co-curricular Achievements Transcript

The Awards and Co-curricular Achievements Transcript (ACT) formally documents students’ non-academic accomplishments at HSUHK, showcasing their holistic development. The ACT organises achievements into 3 key areas:  

  • Awards and Scholarships  
  • Leadership and Service  
  • Co-curricular Activities 

The categories highlight students’ well-rounded skills, personal growth, and societal contributions. Each graduate receives a complimentary soft copy of the ACT and a hardcopy is available upon request at the Graduation Ceremony, celebrating their diverse achievements.
