Embracing Diversity
The Student Affairs Office (SAO) actively fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion in the HSUHK community. By organising vibrant campus-wide events, such as the annual Inclusion Festival, we celebrate and promote diverse perspectives across campus. To further cultivate a supportive environment, SAO collaborates with academic and learning support units to provide students with comprehensive assistance, including tailored accommodations, access to assistive technologies, inclusive career guidance, and counselling services.

HSUHK is committed to supporting students’ personal growth and well-being. The Personal Growth and Counselling Unit of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) provides professional counselling and clinical psychology services to support students facing mental health and developmental challenges. The services are available through traditional face-to-face sessions or online meetings, conducted in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English to meet individual needs.
In addition, the Mental Wellness Enhancement Programmes, organised by the Unit, foster peer connections and promote personal wellness awareness, which are essential for thriving in university life.
